Doctor of Philosophy in History and Civilization
Description:
In 1424 AH/2003 AD, the College Council approved the opening of a master's program with two specific tracks, namely Islamic and modern history, followed by two similar doctoral programs. In 1444/2023 AD, the department was developed and the name was changed to the Master's Program in History and Civilization and the Doctor of Philosophy Program in History and Civilization

1- Caring for the history and heritage of the Arab and Islamic nations as an essential part of the human heritage to serve the country and the nation.
2- Contributing to the enrichment of human knowledge through specialized historical and civilizational studies and serious scientific research.
3- Preparing specialized cadres and competencies that rewrite national and Arab history and civilization in its various phases according to balanced scientific foundations.

- Distinguish between basic concepts, principles, and theories in different fields of history and civilization.
- Accurately defining the research question and collecting and analyzing the necessary data.
- Prepare a research plan on the topic.
