Bachelor of Sociology and Social Work

Description:

The department was established under the name (Sociology) in : 1402-1403 AH in response to the needs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of qualified scientific competencies in order to contribute to the process of comprehensive development in various social fields in society. However, after the issuance of the Royal Decree No. 7/B/2242 dated 10/5/1424 AH to merge the two branches of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University and King Saud University in Qassim under the shadow of one university, Qassim University, the name of the department was amended to (Sociology and Social Service) and the department was limited to offering graduate programs with the suspension of the undergraduate program until 1440 H. The efforts of the department resulted in the resumption of the program again, where admission was opened in the program with two tracks, namely : Social Service and Sociology in the male and female sections in the academic year 1441 A.H. In a manner consistent with the vision and mission of the college and university and meets the growing demand for the department's graduates of social workers and social researchers in all relevant sectors and institutions of society.
