The Volunteering Unit at Qassim University was established by a decision of His Excellency the President of Qassim University, No. 66559, dated 5/25/2022 - 10/24/1443 AH, with the aim of individuals giving their effort, time and expertise without material compensation to serve the community and promote the values of solidarity and social responsibility. It contributes to the development of personal and professional skills of volunteers, and provides opportunities for creativity and effective community participation, thus achieving a sustainable impact on national development.

Achieving voluntary leadership for Qassim University through best practices for managing and developing voluntary work programs among university affiliates and entities, according to the national standard for volunteer management in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Edamah).
Mission Statement
Enabling university affiliates to practice voluntary work according to studied methodologies and sustainable systems by linking them to available voluntary opportunities, training them in voluntary work, creating quality and innovative voluntary opportunities, and building fruitful partnerships between the university and community organizations to expand the scope of voluntary work at the university and enable its affiliates to participate effectively in the community.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Building organizations, models and regulations that support voluntary work within the university.
- Build volunteer opportunities by collaborating with university departments and divisions to assess their need for volunteers and contribute to the design and review of volunteer opportunities.
- Providing a clear mechanism for volunteer work by drawing clear policies and procedures and ensuring that volunteer work is carried out in accordance with the approved policies and procedures and reviewing them periodically.
- Manage data on volunteer hours for university employees.
- Identify the training needs of volunteers and provide development programs accordingly.
- Spreading awareness and building capacities to formulate and offer volunteer opportunities to university employees.
- Coordinating partnerships with governmental and private entities to provide quality volunteer opportunities for university employees.
- Highlighting the voluntary efforts of the university and its affiliates by documenting successful experiences and effective and continuous communication.
