The University achieved a new advancement in the Times Higher Education Subject Rankings 2026, after the number of ranked fields increased to 9 out of the 11 fields adopted by the rankings, reflecting the breadth of the university's academic coverage and its growing presence in various disciplines.
Dr. Majid bin Fadhi Al-Enezi, Vice President for Business Development and Community Partnership, stressed that this expansion comes as an extension of the university's vision to enhance the quality of education and raise the efficiency of academic outputs, indicating that the university is following a clear strategy to improve institutional and academic performance and expand the scope of excellence in teaching, scientific research and community service.
Al-Enezi said that this progress is a direct result of continuous institutional work based on educational quality practices and confirms the university's broad base of specializations and its ability to compete according to global measurement indicators. He explained that the field of humanities entered the ranking for the first time among the fields classified in the Times ranking, in addition to the previously classified fields, bringing the total number of classified fields to 9 out of the 11 fields adopted by the ranking
