Grant objectives
Among the goals of the Sheikh Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Owaidha Chair for Intellectual Awareness and National Belonging is to support and enhance research production in the field of intellectual awareness and national belonging in line with national priorities. It aims to raise the quality of life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by strengthening participation in national programs and their objectives. The Chair, in collaboration with the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, announces the launch of a number of research grants with a total funding of SAR 102,000.

Terms and conditions for applying for the scholarship
- The principal investigator must be a faculty member of the university, and their academic rank must be no less than Assistant Professor.
- The research proposal has not been submitted for funding to any other entity, and will not be submitted for funding to any other entity after its approval for support.
- It shall not be research extracted from a Master's or PhD thesis or student projects.
- The percentage of documented citations (verbatim or in meaning) in the research should not exceed (25%). This applies whether the citations are from the researcher's own previous work or from the work of others. Any research exceeding this percentage will be rejected, according to the data from the plagiarism detection software (iThenticate). Quotations from the Holy Quran, the Noble Hadith, and poetic evidence are excluded from the calculation of the above citation percentage.
- The advanced researcher shall not have a stalled thesis according to the conditions of stalling determined by the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the university.
- The financial reward for the research grant is (17,000) seventeen thousand riyals, to be disbursed to the researcher after the publication of the scientific paper and the submission of the final report for technical and financial compliance of the research.
- Referring to the support of Sheikh Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Awaisah Chair for Intellectual Awareness and National Belonging, and the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the university when publishing the research according to the approved wording, which is as follows:
- The scholarship duration is one year from the date of signing the contract between the Principal Investigator and the Chair.
