Qassim University, represented by the Center for Innovation and Intellectual Property, launched the "Ibtikar" incubator in its fifth edition, where registration starts from February 25 until March 31, 2026, as part of the university's efforts to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship system, in partnership with national entities and a supportive private sector, in a way that contributes to achieving integration between academic knowledge and market needs.
Ibtikar Incubator is one of the university's initiatives that aims to spread the spirit of competition and raise the level of ideas and projects, by providing many programs, meetings, workshops and guidance sessions at different stages, to contribute to transforming these projects into promising products with economic value in order to support the innovation and entrepreneurship index and contribute to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Muhaimid, Director of the Center for Innovation and Intellectual Property, stressed that the launch of the fifth edition of the incubator reflects the university's commitment to its developmental and economic role, noting that the incubator represents a practical platform to transform ideas into applications and products with promising value, and that the university works through the incubator to enable and promote the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship and to provide a supportive environment that contributes to the establishment of competitive startups in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in building a knowledge economy based on innovation and technology.
He added that strategic partnerships with national entities and the private sector are a key pillar in the success of the incubator by providing expertise, empowerment and linking to investment opportunities, stressing that the university is working to develop an integrated system that supports innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer.
