During his patronage of the Digital Transformation Forum, organized by the Deanship of E-Learning and Information Technology, His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Sharekh, launched today a number of digital programs, applications and initiatives, in the presence of the university vice presidents, at the King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the University City.
Ten digital initiatives were launched, most notably the Qassim University application (MYQu), a smart device application that supports the management and delivery of academic and administrative services, and provides access to university services within a unified digital environment.
His Excellency also inaugurated the new version of the university's website, which aims to improve access to digital information and services, highlight institutional content, news and achievements, and align the university's digital identity with government standards.
The Digital Services Platform, a unified platform that combines academic and administrative services and enables beneficiaries to submit and follow up applications electronically within an integrated digital experience, was also launched, in addition to the launch of the QSpark platform, in addition to the launch of the Namaa Investment Platform, an investment training platform that offers free and paid training programs and courses, access to local and international programs, and educational and technical consultations.
Class Insight, a technology platform specialized in collecting and analyzing performance data within virtual classrooms and providing accurate reports on attendance and interaction, was also launched to support academic supervision and improve the quality of the educational process.
His Excellency launched the self-training initiatives, which are educational initiatives that provide specialized training programs and tracks from global platforms, within a flexible and sustainable learning model, through more than 14 training tracks, more than 100 training programs, for more than 9,000 beneficiaries, including more than 4,000 educational licenses.
The Education Studios, an integrated environment for the production of digital educational content, includes studios for video recording, live streaming, podcasting, and audio.
On the administrative side, the appointments system, an electronic system for managing faculty appointment applications, including the stages of submission, review and evaluation of the committees, up to the issuance of the final decision, and the promotions system, an electronic system for managing faculty members' promotion applications, starting from submission, through academic committees and scientific arbitration, and ending with the approval of the results, were launched.
This comes as part of the university's efforts to promote digital transformation, raise the efficiency of institutional performance, and improve the quality of educational and administrative services, in line with the objectives of the national digital transformation.
