His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Fahad Al-Sharekh, in the presence of His Excellency the CEO of the University Hospitals Program, Prof. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Rubaish, and the university vice presidents, sponsored the celebration of the Medical City on the occasion of obtaining a number of medical accreditations and achieving distinguished achievements and honoring the outstanding employees of the Medical City on Wednesday morning, November 12, 2025, at the headquarters of the Medical City, at the headquarters of the Medical City.
The ceremony began with the royal salute, then a brief film was shown that reviewed the most prominent recent achievements of the university in various institutional and national fields, which reflects its active presence in the fields of development and excellence, followed by an introductory presentation of the most important achievements of the medical city, its qualitative operations, and its medical accreditations achieved, then the leaders and distinguished employees of the city were honored.
In his speech on this occasion, His Excellency the President emphasized that these achievements reflect the university's keenness to improve the quality of its health services and reflect the unlimited support of the wise leadership - may Allah protect them - to develop the university medical care system, pointing out that what has been achieved is a source of pride and pride for the university and its employees.
His Excellency said: "We are proud of the quality operations and medical accreditations that the city has achieved and the fact that its services have reached nearly 800,000 beneficiaries, and I would like to thank His Excellency the Executive Director General Dr. Khalid Al-Husais and all the employees of the city for their kindness and excellence in providing health care with international standards."
For his part, His Excellency the CEO of the University Hospitals Program praised the remarkable development witnessed by the Medical City, stressing that obtaining SPAHI accreditation is an indicator of confidence and evidence of the quality of practices and the excellence of the health services provided in the Medical City.
The university medical city has achieved a number of achievements during the past period, as it obtained the accreditation of the Saudi Center for Accreditation of Health Facilities (SPAHI), after passing the final evaluation conducted by the center's team recently with a high score of 98.95%.
The Clinical Simulation Center also achieved a qualitative achievement by obtaining full accreditation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), one of the highest international accreditations specialized in this field, after the center met international standards in quality, training, and efficiency of outputs.
