His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, today sponsored the celebration of the 95th National Day held by Qassim University at King Abdulaziz Conference Center in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, University President Dr. Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Sharekh, university vice presidents, deans of colleges and deanships, students and employees of the university.
H.H. the Emir of Qassim praised the national exhibition's documentation of the biography of King Abdulaziz, in addition to the history of the Kingdom and the efforts of the university and its various achievements, stressing that these efforts reflect the university's pioneering role in promoting national identity and consolidating the values of belonging and pride in the country's past and present, and the comprehensive developmental renaissance it is witnessing under the wise leadership.
His Highness praised the university's initiatives and quality programs that contribute to serving the community and enhancing the awareness of generations about the history of their glorious homeland, pointing out that these efforts are integrated with the efforts of various educational and cultural sectors to consolidate the principles of citizenship and deepen belonging, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
During the ceremony, His Highness watched a visual presentation on the most prominent achievements of the university, a national operetta and a national poem, in addition to the launch of the "Shamakh Homeland" initiative, which included a package of programs
and national activities aimed at strengthening national cohesion and pride in the country and its achievements.
For his part, Al-Sharekh said that Qassim University fulfills its mission by spreading knowledge, nurturing creativity, preparing competencies capable of competing, and playing its role in promoting the Saudi cultural identity and celebrating authenticity.
The ceremony witnessed the inauguration of H.H. the Emir of Al-Qassim region of the accompanying exhibition "Our Strength by Our Nature", which contained a number of corners, dealing with the history of the unification of the Kingdom, the biography of King Abdulaziz, may Allah have mercy on him, and the kings of the Kingdom, may Allah have mercy on them, until the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in addition to the achievements of Saudi Vision 2030, the achievements of the diverse region, and the university's achievements, and the exhibition included several national drawings, student achievements, sculptures and artworks.
At the end of the ceremony, H.H. the Emir of Qassim honored the university's leaders whose terms of office ended in a gesture of loyalty from the university, in addition to 57 researchers from Qassim University for appearing among the top 2% of the world's most influential scientists in the field of scientific research.
At the end of the ceremony, HH The Amir participated in the Saudi Ardha.
