The guide is intended for students of the Faculty of Science, aiming to introduce them to the academic advising system and clarify its vision, mission, and objectives, helping students understand their role and the role of advising entities throughout their university journey. The guide outlines the duties of the Academic Advising Committee, as well as the role of the academic advisor and student responsibilities, to enhance clarity in the advising relationship and allow students to know the entities and roles associated with their academic guidance. The guide serves as a reference for academic regulations and procedures that students need to know, most notably procedures for registration, add and drop, withdrawal, deferral and interruption, examinations, transfer, visiting student status, grades, graduation, and honors. It also explains how to calculate semester and cumulative GPAs, helping students monitor their academic standing and understand the impact of courses and grades on their academic path. Overall, the guide aims to help students understand their rights and obligations, handle academic procedures with greater awareness, and make appropriate decisions during their university journey.
