The field of pedagogy is characterized as a science that combines many diverse fields of knowledge that are closely related to educational practices in the educational system from within its internal or external environment, whether near-term as the culture of society, or far-reaching, such as the world and its current and future challenges. It is a science that investigates the foundations, principles, and components on which any educational work is based in terms of the relations of influence and impact between those knowledge areas and the scientific results of them in their relationship with educational practices, and thus its fields and origins multiply between philosophical origins, social origins, economic origins, political origins, cultural origins, historical origins of education, adult education and sustainable education, educational planning, future studies, educational media and educational informatics, and its methods and tools vary in order to achieve total and comprehensive understanding and dive into the depths of the phenomenon; to clarify the current and future challenges of education. The Department of Pedagogy is one of the main pillars on which the College of Education at Qassim University is based, and the department aims to integrate with the other departments of the college to achieve comprehensive development plans in the community in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030 and its programs, especially the Human Capacity Development Program 2021, by preparing distinguished competencies in the field of pedagogy that effectively contribute to the development of educational and research practices; to develop society according to the latest scientific methods and technologies, to achieve leadership locally and internationally, and excellence in its programs and research; in order to achieve sustainable community development, within the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the department The Department of Pedagogy is proud of its constant keenness to have an elite group of distinguished faculty members, an elite group of current male and female students, and the flow of graduates at a high level of quality and proficiency in the educational field, and their assumption of senior positions in various sectors and educational institutions in the local and international community. Since its opening in 1429 H, the Department, with the support of the Deanship of the College of Education and Qassim University, has been keen to provide its students with the fundamentals of the teaching profession and its policy, and applications of continuing education at undergraduate and graduate levels and offers several programs The department offers several study programs at different academic levels, including courses for the bachelor's level, and academic programs such as the Master's program in Fundamentals of Education since 1430 A.H. with the system of courses and thesis, which is fully accredited as the first accredited program in the Kingdom in its field, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Education program in the field of Fundamentals of Education since 1438 A.H. with the system of courses and thesis as well, and the department seeks to accredit it soon in an educational system characterized by diligent work to continue improving the level of academic education and its outputs and contributing to the development of the educational field.
