14890 - During the annual celebration of Quality Day UQU President honors distinguished colleges, deanships and departments

His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, stressed that the university enjoys great support from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman - may Allah protect them - and occupies an advanced position among the universities in the Kingdom, stressing the need for the university staff to prove that it will remain pioneering by striving to achieve quality standards.
During his speech at the fifth annual quality ceremony organized by the University Vice Presidency for Planning, Development and Quality on Tuesday, 22/1/1440 H, in the main hall of the Medical Clinics Building at the University's headquarters in Al-Malida, Al-Dawood added that the efforts and work of the university's loyal sons will bring it to the highest local levels and put it in the ranks of distinguished universities around the world. 

Al-Dawood also thanked the University Vice Presidency, the Deanship of Development and Quality, and the members of the University Council for their interaction, dedication and keenness to improve their work in the academic aspect, pointing out that this occasion is very important because it highlights what the university has reached, stressing that the university strongly supports this trend, noting that the indicator announced by the Minister of Finance yesterday for the university budget is enough to make everyone work and the responsibility returns to us in the administration.
For his part, Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Rubaish, Dean of the Deanship of Development and Quality, spoke about the internal audit standards. He also addressed how to determine the level of the deanship or department, which is determined based on the total number of points obtained, as the quality performance of the program, deanships and departments is classified through the first level Diamond, second level Gold, third level Silver, fourth level Bronze, and fifth level Rising, in addition to the colleges are classified for three levels "pioneering, distinguished and advanced", indicating that 35 colleges and 49 major programs were reviewed last period in 17 campuses through 21 auditors, and also talked about how to improve the

Based on these classifications, Al-Dawood honored the colleges, deanships and departments that received the university's quality shield through several categories, first of which were the Diamond Shield programs, which were obtained by the programs of Veterinary Medicine, Medicine and Surgery, Physiotherapy, and Doctor of Pharmacy in Unaiza, followed by the Golden Shield programs, namely: "Nursing Program, Animal Production and Breeding Program", and the Silver Shield programs were also honored: "Chemistry Program, Plant Production and Protection Program, and Health Administration Program."
The bronze shield recipients were: "Food Science and Human Nutrition, Health Informatics Program, Kindergarten, Mathematics Program, Physics Program, Psychology Program, and Physical Education and Kinesiology Program," in addition to the programs that received the Rising Shield, namely: "English Language and Translation, Arabic Language and Literature, and Islamic Studies.
The ceremony also included highlighting the honorable achievements of the university, as a number of programs of the university colleges obtained national program accreditation during the academic year 1438-1439 A.H. To crown this achievement, these programs were honored to receive the honor of the UQU President, namely: "Doctor of Optometry Program, Fashion Design Program, Doctor of Pharmacy Program, Public Health Program, Clinical Nutrition Program, and Shari'ah Program".

After that, the UQU President honored the colleges that achieved advanced positions in applying the quality standards, where the colleges were classified into several categories, the first of which are the leading colleges, namely: "The College of Medicine, the College of Medical Rehabilitation, the College of Pharmacy in Unaiza, and the College of Nursing", then the distinguished colleges namely: "The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, the College of Public Health and Health Informatics, and finally the advanced colleges, namely: "College of Science, College of Science and Arts in Aqlah Al-Suqur, College of Science and Arts in Riyadh Al-Khubaira, College of Science and Arts in Al-Ras, College of Science and Arts in Nabhaniyah, College of Science and Arts in Asyah, College of Science and Arts in Anizah, and College of Education."

The ceremony also honored the supporting deanships and departments that won the Qassim University Quality Shield, as they were also classified into several categories, some of which received the Diamond Shield, namely the Deanship of Community Service and the Deanship of Student Affairs: "The Deanship of Community Service and the Deanship of Student Affairs, while the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies received the gold shield, while the Deanship of Scientific Research, the Deanship of Admission and Registration, and the Public Relations Department received the bronze shield, and the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education and the Movement and Transportation Department received the rising shield: "The Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education and the Movement and Transportation Department, in addition to honoring the members of the internal audit of the university programs, supporting deanships and departments for their great efforts in supporting the process of development and quality.
