The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies at Umm Al-Qura University announced the results of admission to postgraduate programs for the next academic year 1439/1440 A.H. The number of completed applications that met all the required conditions reached about nine thousand four hundred and forty-five applications, competing for admission seats in eighteen doctoral programs and fifty-eight master's programs. The announcement of the numbers of qualified applications came in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, on Wednesday, the second day of Sha'ban 1439 A.H. The announcement included the total number of completed and qualified applications for doctoral programs, which amounted to one thousand eight hundred and five, while the number of completed applications for master's programs reached seven thousand six hundred and forty applications. For his part, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Dughairi, Dean of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies at the university, stressed that the deanship has been keen from the first day of opening the application process to interact with those wishing to join these programs, and answered all the inquiries of male and female postgraduate students through the deanship's Twitter account regarding the steps and stages of registration, in addition to answering applicants' inquiries regarding admission rules and conditions, indicating that those in charge of the Twitter accounts answered all these questions during working hours and outside it to interact with applicants' needs around the clock. Al-Dughairi explained that the deanship was keen to ensure the ease and convenience of the application and registration process for joining the graduate studies programs, and to enable those wishing to apply to them to complete the registration process through easy and accessible steps for all, which gave full opportunity for all these numbers of male and female students to register and submit the required admission papers, indicating that the deanship had increased its readiness and preparedness to face any emergency that may hinder its work or cause any of those wishing to apply to be prevented from completing the registration steps.
