The College of Education launched the second scientific program for teachers in the Qassim region, entitled "Towards a distinguished teacher to achieve the national transformation 2020", which comes from the vision and mission of the college in serving the national and community future and qualifying human capital to achieve the initiatives of the National Transformation Program and to activate the Kingdom's Vision 2030, by playing its role in supporting these initiatives, most importantly the continuous development of teachers and academic leaders.
The scientific program in its second session, which lasts for 3 days, contains three themes related to the teacher and the educational process. The first theme was entitled "The Educated Teacher", which defines the national, societal and institutional role of the teacher, while the second theme was entitled "The Research Teacher" and included the skills of the research teacher, procedural research to solve educational issues, in addition to research methods and applications, and the third theme came under the theme "The Digital Teacher", which included digital teacher skills, integrating technology in education and technological innovations in the classroom.
The forum targeted teachers in the General Directorate of Education in Qassim and teachers in the Education Department in Unaiza Governorate and the Education Department in Al-Bakiriyah Governorate. The courses were delivered by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Ajlan, Dr. Sultan Al-Muhaimid, Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Saif, Dr. Awatif Al-Saqri, Dr. Fawzia Al-Madhouni, and Dr. Ghada Al-Tamimi, all of whom were supervised by Dr. Abdulkarim.
For his part, Dr. Sami bin Fahad Al-Sunaidi, Dean of the College of Education, stressed that the college seeks through this program to contribute to building a system for the professional development of teachers, providing them with the best educational and educational experiences and practices to improve their performance according to scientific standards and under the supervision of academic specialists in various educational fields. It is worth mentioning that the university organized the first scientific forum to coincide with the World Teacher's Day last year, which discussed a number of topics related to the teacher, especially his role in achieving the values of citizenship among the learner, developing his skills for conscious citizenship, in addition to promoting digital citizenship among the learner through the effective use of social media.
