The efforts of the UQU Research Chairs Secretariat, in coordination with the Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Saawi Chair for the Development of Positivity and a number of male and female researchers specialized in the educational and psychological field and those interested in developing positivity inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, resulted in the signing of 16 research grants in the fields of developing individual, university, institutional and community positivity, on February 22, 2018, with the support of UQU President, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, and the presence of the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Turki.

His Excellency the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Al-Turki, listened to a brief introduction of these research projects by the researchers, in addition to a talk about the future projects of the Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Saawi Chair for Positive Development by the Chair's Supervisor, Dr. Abdullah bin Fahad Al-Muzairi, and the Chair's Professor, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Ahmad.
The UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research stressed the necessity of completing these research projects and highlighting their results on time and publishing them for the benefit of various community organizations.
Grant goals:
These research grants, launched by the scientific committee of the chair, aim to raise the quality of the university's scientific research outputs, harness its research capabilities to focus on the areas of the various research chairs, solve research issues related to them, and benefit from the research energies inside and outside the university.
Promote the role of chairs:
For his part, the Secretary of the Research Chairs at the University, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Muhaimid, expressed his happiness with the signing of these new research grants, indicating that they will enhance the role of the research chairs in serving scientific research and community partnership.
"These grants are the first research grants at Qassim University and will be followed by other research grants in the university's existing chairs in the fields of Islamic studies, Prophetic biography, service to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and palm and date research," he said.
The signing of the contracts was witnessed by the representative of the chair's funder, Mr. Yousef bin Saleh Al-Saawi.
