UQU President sponsors the signing of several agreements with the Education Evaluation Authority

The University signed a number of agreements and program accreditation contracts with the Education Evaluation Authority represented by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, on Tuesday, 20/5/1439H, under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, with the aim of raising the quality of educational outputs that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 depends on and keeping pace with the civilizational developmental transformations that the Kingdom is witnessing in the current period, by implementing six program accreditation projects with the National Center for Assessment and Accreditation for the following programs: Master of Curriculum and Instruction, Master of Pure Mathematics in the College of Science, Bachelor of Chemistry, Bachelor of Systems, Bachelor of Physical Education, and Bachelor of Accounting.

Following the signing, Al-Dawood emphasized the university's endeavor to develop and modernize as its employees work as a team to improve the educational process at the university, pointing to these successive achievements in the field of quality and accreditation, which came as a result of the support that the university and all universities in this country receive from the government of the Servant of the Two Holy Mosques, stressing the need for everyone to realize the importance of continuing these achievements and accreditations to serve religion and the homeland.

For his part, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Ghasham, Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, expressed his happiness in signing these new agreements to enhance the quality journey and contribute to achieving the nation's aspirations towards Vision 2030, noting that the university's signing of six new program accreditation contracts coincides with the completion of the field evaluation visits by the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment for a number of other programs at the university.

He also expressed his appreciation and thanks to the staff of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment for their great efforts, which the university has begun to reap the fruits of which by improving the performance and improving the outputs in educational institutions, and expressed his appreciation and thanks to the UQU President for his motivation, follow-up and constant guidance for everything that contributes to the progress and excellence of the university.

Dr. Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Muhaimid, Dean of the Deanship of Development and Quality, explained that six program accreditation contracts were signed, two for postgraduate studies and four for undergraduate programs, stressing that they come as an extension of the university's quality journey, as the university had previously obtained national program accreditation for 8 programs and international program accreditation for more than 16 programs. 

Al-Muhaimid stressed that the programs for which accreditation contracts were signed today were subjected to strict criteria and intensive study by the Standing Committee for Quality at the university and were able to provide the necessary requirements to apply for accreditation and take into account the requirements of the Saudi Qualifications Framework.

It is noteworthy that the UQU President has directed the deans of colleges and heads of departments to submit a set of new programs for national accreditation, as it is expected that all programs will be accredited by 2020.
