The university, represented by the College of Applied Sciences in Al-Ris, launched the community programs for this year, which targets students of intellectual classes in schools in cooperation with the Education Department in the governorate. The program included lectures, presentations, and a detailed explanation of the correct methods of dental care, in addition to dental examination and application of fluoride to prevent cavities.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ruthea, Dean of the College, stated that these programs and ongoing school visits target the children segment to instill healthy behaviors in them from a young age and ensure the creation of a healthy society. He explained that the college, through its various departments, has been implementing its campaigns and community and health programs inside and outside the walls of the college, to serve the largest number of different segments of society. He pointed out that the university is keen to provide its social services to all segments of society from its various colleges, extending his thanks to UQU President Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Dawood for his keenness and continuous follow-up to serve students and the community
