For the third consecutive year, the UQU College of Pharmacy participated in the Dubai International Pharmacy and Technology Conference, which is considered the largest event in the Middle East in this field, with a delegation of college students and faculty members, as the conference serves as a meeting point for pharmacists, doctors and scientists.
The 12 participating male and female students held an exhibition of research posters, in addition to a number of lectures delivered by faculty members, led by Dr. Mansour Al-Sharida, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Yasser Al-Muqbel, Vice Dean of the College, and Dr. Saleh Al-Rubaish, Vice Dean for Development and Quality of the College of Medicine.
This participation aims to develop the scientific and practical skills of male and female students, achieve scientific communication with specialists and academics, meet with international experts, and learn about the latest educational technologies and pharmaceutical laboratories.
This year's conference dealt with many aspects that affect the specialization, such as equipment needed for the production of medicines, packaging machines, medical laboratory equipment, safe storage methods for medicines and medical accessories, waste management systems, cold rooms, in addition to the most important modern technologies that contribute to the development of scientific research in this field.
The current edition of the conference was well attended by marketing specialists, researchers, professionals, pharmaceutical developers, agents, manufacturers, distributors, representatives of medical associations, consultants, pharmaceutical product specialists, key decision makers, practicing pharmacists, and a number of trade visitors from the Middle East pharmaceutical industry.
