His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of Qassim University, attended the reception ceremony for new students for the new academic year at the Colleges of Community, Engineering, Pharmacy and the College of Science and Arts in Ba'aniza Governorate.
The UQU President urged the new students to focus on academic achievement and strive for excellence and success, to become good building blocks in building their country and communities, pointing out that the university stage is completely different from the stages before it, and wished the students success in their new academic journey, stressing that the university strives to overcome the obstacles they may face during their studies.
In his speech to the students, His Excellency stressed the need to be careful not to surrender their minds to the owners of the misguided ideology and not to be swayed by their misguided ideas, stressing that university students are targeted by the owners of this category, who exploit social media sites to destabilize the country and incite against its security and stability.
The ceremony comes within the framework of introducing new students to the regulations and instructions that concern their academic future and the services provided by the university to its students, in addition to answering their questions and inquiries by the university administration and the deans and vice deans of the faculties about everything related to their university studies and what they need in their scientific journey.
The UQU President inspected the buildings of Aniza colleges, met with students and discussed with them the level of services provided and their suitability for them.
His Excellency also inspected the "University City" (under construction), and inspected the new college buildings as well as the new housing units for faculty members.
