The Deanship of Admission and Registration at Qassim University announced that it has accepted more than sixteen thousand male and female students to join the university for the new academic year in various colleges and specializations.
For his part, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Fahd bin Sulaiman Al-Ahmad, explained that the method of applying for the academic year was technically through the deanship's website, without the need to send the papers through the premium mail.
Dr. Al-Ahmad explained that the screening process for all male and female applicants for admission was carried out according to two criteria
The first criterion: The weighted ratio is calculated as follows:
(GPA x 0.30) + (General Aptitude Test score x 0.30) + (Achievement Test score x 0.40), which is a special requirement for admission:
First: All female students wishing to enroll in the university.
Secondly: Students wishing to enroll in the preparatory year, the College of Agriculture, and the scientific departments in the faculties of science and arts.
Second criterion: The equivalent ratio is calculated as follows:
(GPA x 0.50) + (General Aptitude Test score x 0.50)
It is a requirement for admission for students applying to all colleges except the preparatory year, the College of Agriculture, and the scientific departments in the faculties of science and arts.
He added that the screening process was automated in order to achieve equality in the admission process and to ensure that the principle of justice is realized,
He added that the university has opened this year a number of departments in some colleges and in different headquarters, which provided the opportunity to accept a larger number of female students regularly and reduced the admission to the affiliation system, indicating that a Twitter account has been allocated to respond to inquiries. He mentioned that the Deanship of Admission and Registration has previously carried out field visits to male and female students in educational centers in the region to explain the admission mechanism and procedures and the process of selecting desires during the opening of the admission portal, and directing students to choose the appropriate specialization.
