Umm Al-Qura University College of Medicine organizes the sixteenth edition of the Achievement Level Measurement Test

On Wednesday morning, Shawwal 8, 1445, the University College of Medicine organized the sixteenth edition of the Achievement Level Measurement Test, which targets medical students in 22 local medical colleges and 3 Gulf colleges, with the participation of more than 12,000 students from different academic years, which was offered in 16 colleges in person and 9 colleges remotely, as this test contributes to monitoring the students' academic progress and following the development of individual learning paths for each student.

The College of Medicine is responsible for designing this test, which is held annually at the headquarters of the participating colleges at the same time, and the college is responsible for correcting the test, preparing, analyzing and sending the results to the participating colleges, in addition to announcing the results through the website, where all students participating in the test can know their performance evaluation in each part of the test.

For his part, Dr. Humaidan Al-Hamidan, Dean of the College of Medicine at the university, explained that since its inception, the college has been interested in providing the best and latest levels of medical education, believing in its educational and societal responsibility and seeking to contribute to the development and promotion of medical education at the level of medical colleges in the Kingdom in accordance with the university's vision and strategic plan, noting that the college has reviewed the evaluation criteria in this test to be in line with what has been approved by the Committee of Deans of Medical Colleges in the Kingdom and to comply with the new test map of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and the standards of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (EETC).

Al-Hamidan pointed out that this test aims to focus on long-term knowledge and enable students to use and apply what they have learned during their academic career, and measure the development of their understanding of the end-of-program objectives, as all students of participating medical colleges apply for the same test, indicating that this test provides an opportunity for participating colleges to compare the results of their students with their peers in the corresponding years, which contributes to the objective evaluation of the end-of-program objectives of medical colleges and the annual progress in achieving the objectives of the program and the efficiency of its implementation.

It is worth mentioning that the Faculty of Medicine at Qassim University has been the initiator of the test since its first edition until now, as the test has witnessed the participation of about 80,000 students from most medical colleges in the Kingdom and the Gulf since its inception.
