Yesterday, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Qassim Region, honored the University for winning the "Content Industry Award", in its third edition, for its media awareness efforts and coverage of the national programs and events organized by the University. The award was received by His Excellency the Acting President of the University, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Saawi, in the presence of the Director of the General Administration of Media and Communication, Mr. Sami bin Ali Al-Ayada, during the award ceremony at the Emirate Diwan.
For his part, His Excellency the Acting President of the University expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Emir of the region for his patronage and support for this award and the various dimensions and objectives it carries, which will stimulate and spread the spirit of competition among content creators in the various government entities in the Kingdom, in order to serve the community and highlight its various works.
This award comes as a result of the efforts exerted in creating the awareness-raising media content produced by the university, represented by the General Department of Media and Communication, and the media coverage of national events and the accompanying visual and documentary presentations and materials that contribute to raising awareness and education, spreading a positive spirit to serve the nation and the citizen, and reaching various audiences.
During the year 2023/2024, the university provided more than 1100 media publications through its account on the (X) platform, including 80 awareness and educational publications in a number of fields, including national, health, educational, sharia, security and food, prepared by the administration's specialized cadres, with the participation of a group of specialists from the university's employees and students, in order to activate the university's mission towards the community In addition, the number of media coverage of national events and their visual materials amounted to more than 135 publications on its digital platforms, including documentaries, educational messages, field and television coverage of these events, in addition to the words and feelings of the university's staff and students.
It is noteworthy that the media content within the university exceeded more than 106 press news, 99 videos and TV reports, 74 events covered, including 3 national events, 959 photographs, more than 80 Snapchat coverage, 435 various designs, 44 awareness publications for international days, and the number of satellite appearances on the channels increased to 53 appearances, including 30 TV reports, 11 interventions on TV channels via phone, and 12 hosting on live broadcasts on the channels The topics of media content and news included a number of educational, sharia and research fields, medicine, health, sports, awareness, education, society and the homeland, in addition to achievements, statistics and periodic reports.
