His Highness praised Qassim University for holding the Career Day a week after the graduation ceremony for university students, in order to contribute to the employment of our young people, hoping that these events will be held annually after the graduation ceremony, pointing to the importance of localizing jobs, stressing that it is the first concern for him personally, stressing that the establishment of the Job Coordination Committee several years ago was aimed at being a servant for all young people to obtain suitable jobs, pointing to the Self-Made Youth Award and its outputs in the employment of youth, in addition to launching an award for establishments that achieve the highest percentage in Saudization, whether in government or private sectors, to motivate them to hire.
This came in an impromptu speech during his inauguration on Monday afternoon of the 9th Career Day activities and exhibition hosted by Qassim University with the participation of a number of government institutions and companies that will offer more than 961 jobs that will be available to job seekers in several engineering, health, administrative, technical and educational specialties.

The Exhibition will be held on Saturday, 30/7/1437 A.H.
The Acting President of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Wasl, stressed that the Career Day comes and the country celebrates all its sectors and segments with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 project, which was approved by the Council of Ministers last week under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, a project that represents a qualitative leap in the development plans and strategies of our dear country, pointing out that the Career Day held annually by the university embodies the aspects of integration between the university and the labor market in the framework of the university's participation in the existing efforts to localize jobs and invest opportunities available in the labor market, praising the efforts of His Highness the Emir of Qassim region and Waht.
Mr. Mohammed Dhahyan Al-Dhahyan, Chairman of Qassim Medical Company, the official sponsor of the Career Day, pointed out that Qassim National Hospital seeks to serve the region's community in all medical fields through interest in employing graduates and building positive partnerships with the community to achieve the aspirations of the rulers, announcing the availability of 150 jobs in various medical departments and supporting departments at the hospital to be filled by male and female graduates through the Career Day exhibition at the university.
The Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality at Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya, stressed that the university has gained strong experience to build a system of care for the graduate and his employment, and a rich balance of important data has been collected for the various employment sectors. This experience culminated in the establishment of an independent department at the university under the name of the Graduates and Profession Department or what is called the Graduates Association, which deals with the graduate before his graduation, following up his employment and communicating with him after his employment.
He went on to say: We did our best to get serious jobs and excluded a large number of companies that would not directly benefit the graduates and limited ourselves to companies that provided us with detailed lists of employment and accepted companies that provide employment, training and career guidance services for graduates. These endeavors culminated in obtaining 961 jobs, as detailed in the job guide publication.
Al-Yahya said: A pavilion has been allocated at the exhibition to coordinate jobs, sign employment contracts, and live interactive display of available jobs and employment that takes place during the career days, where the best employment sector will be selected at the end of the exhibition days according to the criteria of the volume of employment and the evaluation forms of graduates for them.
The Qassim Chamber of Commerce also contributed with us by organizing booths from some self-made people, knowing how important it is for graduates to benefit from their experiences and emulate them.
He noted:
We were keen in the exhibition to market some of the university's products, which are very rich products to attract our employment partners, and these products are the creations of university graduates from projects, research and distinctive ideas, and the aim was to positively interact and build trust between university graduates and employers.
He reviewed some of the results of Qassim University's educational outcomes that we receive from impartial bodies, to name a few:
- Qassim University has been accredited as the third university in the Kingdom by the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, decades ahead of its predecessors.
- In the results of the National Center for Measurement and Evaluation of Engineering Outcomes, our graduates achieved first place in computer engineering and architecture, second place in civil engineering, and third place in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
- In the implementation of the programs of the Horizons Plan for Higher Education 2029 and in its third cycle, the results of which were reviewed last Thursday, Qassim University won the first place in the Learning Outcomes Assessment Index, ahead of all Saudi universities.
After that, His Highness honored the official sponsor with the university's shield, and the university president presented a commemorative gift of a work of art to His Highness from the College of Designs and Home Economics in Buraidah, then the Prince of Qassim cut the exhibition ribbon and inspected its wings and met with employers and job seekers, wishing them success in their careers.
