On Monday and Tuesday, December 4-5, 2023, the university organized the fifth annual forum for Nazaha clubs in educational institutions, which was held in cooperation with the Control and Anti-Corruption Commission and under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region. His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, opened the activities of the forum in the presence of His Excellency the Director of the Control and Anti-Corruption Commission Branch in Qassim, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Fouzan, His Excellency the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Fahd bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, and Mr. Mohammed bin Mansour bin Lu'i.
His Excellency the UQU President also opened the exhibition accompanying the forum, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university, with the participation of 20 universities and civil and military colleges. The exhibition contained 18 corners, during which clubs in educational institutions presented their work and achievements that reflect their commitment to spread and promote the culture of integrity and combat corruption in all its forms, as the exhibition is an opportunity for visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the efforts of Nazaha clubs in participating universities and institutions.
The forum held a series of dialogue sessions aimed at exploring ways to promote the culture of anti-corruption and integrity practices in educational institutions, and participants exchanged ideas and experiences, and reviewed the most important achievements and challenges in this field.
For his part, the Director of the Control and Anti-Corruption Commission in the region expressed his thanks and appreciation for the university's efforts in organizing this annual forum for Nazaha clubs in educational institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which was held this year under the title: "Digital transformation and its role in promoting integrity and combating corruption", and discussing topics of interest to Nazaha clubs related to digital transformation and the extent to which the clubs benefit from this transformation in innovation and creativity, and benefit from technology and digitization to enhance their role and methods in awareness activities and programs, and facilitate their work to achieve their noble goals in spreading and promoting the values of integrity and combating corruption.
After that, the Dean of Student Affairs at the university, Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Ajlan, expressed his happiness with the success of the forum, praising the efforts exerted by the participating parties and clubs to make the forum a success, and emphasizing the importance of promoting the culture of integrity and transparency in the university community and the commitment to support Nazaha clubs in achieving their goals, as this event reflects the university's commitment to promoting the values of integrity and combating corruption and consolidating the positive transformation towards building a responsible and ethical university generation.
The forum held a dialogue session entitled "Integrity and responsibility in light of the digital transformation of educational institutions" and a session entitled "Student experiences in activating technology to promote integrity and combat corruption" in the presence of representatives of participating universities and educational institutions.
