His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, witnessed yesterday, Sunday, December 3, the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the University, represented by the Medical City, and the Saudi Center for Patient Safety, during his patronage of the fourth international conference of the Saudi Center for Patient Safety, signed by the Executive Director General of the Medical City, Dr. Khaled bin Fahd Al-Husais, and Dr. Ali bin Talaa Asiri, Director General of the Center, on the sidelines of the conference activities held at King Khaled Civilization Center in Buraydah.
The memorandum includes several aspects of cooperation between the two parties, including joint research related to patient safety, including the development and implementation of research programs aimed at improving patient safety, with the exchange of results to promote this field, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experiences regarding training programs, conferences, and seminars held by both parties and agreed upon in the fields of patient safety, management, quality, and performance improvement.
The agreement also aims to participate in health awareness campaigns and community events to familiarize patients with their rights and safety, exchange experiences in promoting health and health awareness, use digital platforms to publish awareness content on empowering patients for their safety, and contribute to preparing and updating the curricula of health colleges in the region in line with the latest standards and practices in the field of patient safety.
