Prof. Dr. Bashar Awwad Ma'ruf expressed his boundless joy at what he saw at Qassim University, stressing that this visit for him is one of the historic visits in his long life, as he saw a scientific interest from professors and students that exceeds what he saw in many of his observations in all the universities he visited.
The renowned scientist emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is today considered the first number in research power at the level of Arab universities, and said that his many and varied books in all fields of knowledge are promoted by 75% in the Kingdom alone and by 25% in the Arab world. This indicates great eagerness and great demand for science and knowledge.
The guest also expressed his deep gratitude to the rulers of this country for their care for science and scientific research and recommended students to rejoice in this blessing and thank God for it.
This came during Dr. Awwad Ma'ruf Al-Obaidi's meeting with UQU President Prof. Khaled Al-Hamoudi during his visit to the university, where the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at the university hosted Prof. Dr. Bashar Awwad Ma'ruf Al-Obaidi, a famous investigator and well-known scholar, as a visiting professor of the Research Center at the College of Sharia for a week.
The first event was held under the title: "The Future of Investigation and Scientific Research", which was attended by a large number of faculty members at the college. The guest addressed the concept of investigation and its types. He also anticipated the future of scientific research and reviewed the historical process of scientific research in Arab universities and recommended the urgent need to support scientific research and motivate distinguished researchers. He suggested that an institute be established in the college to investigate manuscripts to qualify researchers in this science. The guest also emphasized that only those specialized in the book they are working on should engage in investigation, because investigation is not a separate industry from science, but rather a scientific industry Then, a discussion was held with the faculty members about investigation and scientific research.
A scientific event entitled "Research Biography" was also held, during which the guest met with professors and graduate students at the college, in which the guest spoke about his research biography, in which he addressed his scientific stations and his journey in scientific research, and mentioned the difficulties he faced in the application and research, and then recommended the students to rejoice in this blessing that Allah has bestowed upon them, as they live in this generous country in safety and security, and the rulers have provided them with all the scientific and administrative requirements they require, and reminded them of the grace of learning science, as they enjoy free study in this country in all
