Qassim University : More than sixteen thousand male and female students admitted this year

The Deanship of Admission and Registration at Qassim University announced that it has accepted more than sixteen thousand male and female students to join Qassim University for the academic year 1436-1437 AH in various colleges and specializations.
This was stated by the Dean of Admission and Registration, Prof. Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Seif, indicating that the method of application for male and female students for the academic year 1437/1436 AH for this year was done differently from previous years by simply applying through the link of the Deanship of Admission and Registration at Qassim University (www.qu.edu.The applicant or applicant fills in the admission application data with the correct information, the most important of which is the civil record and entering the desires, while the rest of the data is brought from the relevant authorities, noting that the application to the university was available from Monday, 5/9/1436 AH to Wednesday, 14/9/1436 AH at 12:00 p.m. Then after that, the applicant or applicant can follow up the admission request through the site through the civil record number and the password that he or she put when filling out the application. The male and female applicants were also guided to important links that help them in the admission mechanism and its conditions at the university and the available majors, and that all legal consequences for not reviewing the site continuously in order to identify the status of the application and then approve the nomination for the department that was nominated for admission by clicking on OK in the nomination form within 48 hours of his nomination, and during the nomination period the student can be promoted to the highest desire when seats are available, and students must only upload a color photo 4 * 6 white background for the face only,.
As for female students, they were admitted directly in one batch to facilitate the admission procedures and take into account the student's privacy in securing a seat
Dr. Al-Saif explained that the screening processes for all male and female applicants for admission to the university were carried out according to two criteria
The first criterion: The weighted ratio is calculated as follows:
(GPA x 0.30) + (General Aptitude Test score x 0.30) + (Attainment Test score x 0.40), which is a special condition for admission:
First: All female students wishing to enroll in the university.
Secondly: Students wishing to enroll in the preparatory year and scientific departments in the faculties of science and arts.
Second criterion: The equivalent ratio is calculated as follows:
(GPA x 0.50) + (General Aptitude Test score x 0.50)
It is a requirement for admission for students applying to all colleges except for the preparatory year and scientific departments in the faculties of science and arts.
Dr. Al-Saif added that the screening process was done automatically without human intervention, in order to achieve equality in the admission process and to ensure the principle of justice that the deanship has taken upon itself.
Prof. Al-Saif explained that the number of students admitted to the various faculties of the university amounted to 4652 students, 5927 female students for the first semester and 2597 male and 3315 female students for the second semester, bringing the total number of students admitted to the university colleges to 16491 (sixteen thousand four hundred and ninety-one male and female students). He added that the university opened this year a number of departments in some colleges and in different headquarters, which provided the opportunity to admit a larger number of regular female students and reduced the admission to the affiliation system. Dr. Ali Al-Seif concluded his statement by thanking the university administration for its efforts and support for the Deanship of Admission and Registration to carry out its tasks to the fullest, headed by the UQU President, Prof. Khalid Al-Hamoudi, and the UQU Vice Chancellor.He also thanked all the workers in the admission committees, in particular the vice deans of the deanship, Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmad, Prof. Dr. Suleiman Al-Debib, Dr. Khalid Al-Salhi, the head of the male admission committee, Mr. Fahad Al-Kharif, the head of the female admission committee, Mr. Ahmad Al-Hathloul, and all members of the committees working in the admission for the great effort they exerted, their patience and their endurance of the hardship and fatigue that accompanied them throughout the admission period, which lasted more than two months, asking Allah to grant everyone success for what he loves and pleases.
