On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, inaugurated the second forum for postgraduate students, organized by the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies. His Excellency also launched the service of depositing master and doctoral theses in the Saudi Digital Library, as the first Saudi university to complete the integration process with the digital store, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Al-Sharekh, Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Khaled Al-Harbi, and a number of college deans and deanships in the main lobby of the University City.

The UQU President toured the corners of the forum in which 112 male and female students participated through scientific posters to present their scientific research in various legal, humanitarian, medical and agricultural disciplines. He listened to an explanation of the research of male and female students, and this event aims to highlight these contributions and review the most prominent scientific results of postgraduate students and their research outputs reflected in their scientific theses.

After that, UQU President launched the service of depositing scientific theses in the Saudi Digital Library, a service through which the student can enter through the university student portal and upload his scientific thesis on this platform. This step enables him to deposit the thesis in the library and obtain a permanent address through which he can easily access it or cite part of the thesis, and this service contributes to achieving the positive impact in publishing the content of the thesis significantly as well as increasing the number of citations for the university and the researcher.
