The university achieved 33rd place in the Times Higher Education's ranking of Arab universities for the year 2022, coming among the top 10 Saudi public universities, and this year the university advanced 54 places to jump from 87th place last year to this advanced ranking. This is according to the comprehensive criteria and global framework by evaluating its core activities, which include teaching, research, research citations, knowledge transfer, and international reputation.
As the university was ranked 87th in 2021 out of 155 ranked Arab universities, the university's ranking for this year witnessed a major jump to reach 33rd out of 217 ranked Arab universities.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings, one of the most famous international university rankings, has recently launched a special ranking for universities in the Arab world based on the same methodology as the Times Higher Education World University Rankings with some modifications and the inclusion of some new metrics to reflect the characteristics and missions of universities in the Arab region.
It is worth mentioning that the university has been able to achieve many achievements at the local and international levels, and has been able to take its place in a number of global rankings in various fields.
