His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Sabti, and His Excellency the President of Qassim University, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, signed today, Wednesday, 2 Rabi'I 1444 A.H., corresponding to 28 September 2022 A.C., at the university city headquarters, the framework agreement for program accreditation of the university to accredit 92 programs at the university within two years to include all non-accredited programs of the university.

 

 

On the sidelines of the framework agreement, contracts were signed for the implementation of evaluation studies for the accreditation of 11 academic programs, including: (Bachelor of English Language and Translation, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Finance, Bachelor of Health Informatics, Master of Education in Special Education, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Finance, Doctor of Philosophy in Literary Studies, Doctor of Philosophy in Linguistic Studies, in addition to renewing the accreditation of the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and the Bachelor of Medicine and Oral and Dental Surgery).

 

The memorandums of contracts for evaluation studies were signed on the part of the Authority, His Excellency the Executive Director of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Bashmakh, and on the part of the University, His Excellency the Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, Prof. Khalid bin Bani Al-Harbi.

 

Qassim University is one of the universities that received full institutional accreditation for the second time from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission's "Etimad" center, and the university has (33) programs accredited by the Commission and (15) internationally accredited academic programs.

 

On the other hand, the Authority, represented by the National Center for Measurement (Qiyas), signed today a memorandum of understanding with the university to cooperate in the fields of data exchange, technical support, and the application of standardized academic and skill tests to meet the university's needs, signed by His Excellency the Executive Director of the National Center for Measurement, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Qateei, on the Authority's side, and His Excellency the Dean of Development and Quality, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Juhani, on the university's side.

 

This memorandum aims to cooperate between Qiyas and the university in applying the tests of measuring educational outcomes, academic acceleration tests, cognitive ability and graduate skills measures, in addition to providing technical support to link the content of the tests with the content of the programs, providing detailed reports on the results of the tests at the level of the overall score and dimensions, identifying the progress in the performance of university students and graduates across years, and participating in research related to the results of students and graduates on tests provided by the National Center for Measurement.

 

The Commission works according to its mission and objectives, in cooperation and integration with the Ministry of Education and Saudi universities, to contribute to raising the quality and efficiency of education and training to the highest international levels in order to contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the targets of the Human Capacity Development Program, which includes targets related to the programmatic accreditation of universities.

 

The signing included a visit to the headquarters of the veterinary hospital, the medical city, and the leadership school at the main headquarters in the university city, in the presence of His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education and Training Evaluation Authority, His Excellency the President of the University, its vice presidents, and a number of its employees.
