His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Qassim Region, sponsored the graduation ceremony of the nineteenth batch of students of Qassim University, which was held in the main lobby of the University City, in the presence of His Excellency the Vice President of the University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saawi, the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sharekh, the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Al-Turki, the Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, Prof. Khaled Al-Harbi, members of the University Council and parents of the students
During the ceremony, H.H. the Emir of Qassim honored the outstanding male and female graduates in various stages. This year, the university is welcoming 11,820 male and female graduates, including 4476 male graduates and expected graduates, and 7344 female graduates and expected graduates, from various colleges and specializations. The university holds three consecutive graduation ceremonies for female students over three days distributed according to the different colleges of the university during the period from 25-27/10/1443 H, in the main lobby of the university.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, welcomed His Highness the Emir of Qassim, saying: Your presence and your participation in this celebration is a second joy for us and your graduates and a continuation of your continuous support for the university and its employees. Here are your sons who are happy to finish a stage of their educational career, and they are going on the covenant and promise to be the best contributors to the development and preservation of their homeland, hand in hand with its wise leadership.
His Excellency also welcomed the parents and congratulated them on their achievements, thanking them for their efforts in achieving them over the past years, in which they worked hard and achieved the desired goal as a result of their good upbringing and education. He also congratulated the graduates on their success, which was only possible due to the success of God, then their effort and diligence, what their country offered them, and what the university facilitated for them over the years of their studies.
Al-Dawood urged the graduates to return the favor with honesty and sincerity, and to be a good example in their society, saying: "With you, the nation rises, and you are the hope and hope, take moderation and moderation, which is the correct approach of your religion, be one line with your leadership, as you are one of the foundations of realizing the vision of our kingdom.
The UQU President concluded his speech by thanking God Almighty for what has been achieved, our wise leadership, His Highness the Emir of Qassim for the support and backing, fellow leaders and professors, parents and honored attendees, colleagues in the organizing committee of the ceremony, and all those who supported, attended and were a reason for the success of this celebration, stressing that with this joy we must not forget our soldiers stationed on the borders of our country, calling on God to give them victory, the martyrs to forgive and have mercy, and the wounded to recover quickly, God willing.
For his part, Dr. Fahad Al-Ahmad, Dean of the Deanship of Admission and Registration at the university, explained that the language of numbers confirms the importance of the achievements of this great edifice, Qassim University, which today is pleased to present 5246 male and female graduates and 6574 expected graduates, bringing the total number of graduates and expected graduates to 11820 students, including 51 students in the doctoral degree, 347 students in the master's degree, 10614 students in the bachelor's degree and 820 students in the diploma degree.
Al-Ahmad added that this year's graduates are distributed among more than 57 bachelor's majors, 69 master's majors, 17 doctoral majors, and 10 diploma majors, congratulating everyone on beginning their serious journey towards a promising future to be an influential figure in developing their country and serving their community under an ambitious state and under a rational leadership that drew them an active vision in life, contributing to construction and development.
Al-Ahmad thanked His Highness the Emir of the region for honoring the ceremony and his continuous patronage of all university activities, as well as His Excellency the President of the University, and congratulated the parents on their joy for their graduating sons and daughters, wishing all male and female students success in the next stage of their working lives.
The graduates also delivered a speech during the ceremony in which they emphasized their determination to give back to their country and its wise leadership, which has paid great attention to education, and thanked their fathers, mothers, university and professors for their efforts to reach this joy and achieve this achievement.
The ceremony, which was broadcast live on the university's communication channels and Ain Satellite Channel, began with the royal salute, followed by the march of the graduates, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an, after which a visual material about the university was presented by the General Administration of Media and Communication at the university entitled "Qassim University. Facts and Figures".
