The university, represented by the Intellectual Awareness Unit, concluded the "Intellectual Immunization..." program, which lasted for two semesters in two phases. During the first phase, 20 awareness meetings were held for 1100 male and female secondary school students who are about to enter university education and first-year students at the university's colleges, and were presented by a selected group of faculty members and specialists in intellectual awareness issues, which lasted for two semesters in two stages.
In its first phase, this program relied on a scientific methodology based on a field survey to identify common intellectual issues among a sample of secondary school students who are about to enter university education, and then diagnose the intellectual, value and conceptual imbalance in these issues in preparation for preparing specialized preventive programs for these issues.
The second phase included a package of training programs and awareness-raising meetings prepared by specialists to address intellectual issues in an integrated manner, offering 12 different programs that benefited about 650 secondary school students and students of the first levels of the College of Shari'ah and Islamic Studies.
The second phase dealt with several vital topics, including the origins of stability and its threats, intellectual immunity, the goal and purpose of intellectual security, the major legal mandate, the benefits and effects, enhancing intellectual security, the danger of rumors and ways to combat them, the jurisprudence of religiosity based on moderation, the necessity of intellectual security, the principles of extremism, and intellectual immunity in the light of the Prophet's Sunnah.
