Princess Abeer bint Sulaiman Al-Mandeel, wife of the Emir of Qassim Region, welcomed 5333 female graduates from various scientific, medical and literary disciplines in Buraidah colleges and the colleges of the University Studies Center for Female Students and Postgraduate Studies, after she sponsored the graduation ceremony of Qassim University last Thursday evening in the university's lobby. The ceremony included a speech program that opened with verses from the Holy Quran followed by the royal peace before the march of the graduates, which was accompanied by a comprehensive definition of each college of the university and literary, scientific or medical specializations with a statistic of the number of graduates for this year.
The UQU President, Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al-Hamoudi, then delivered his recorded speech in which he began by praising Allah and expressing his happiness and pleasure in celebrating the evening of Thursday the eighteenth of Rajab for this year under the generous patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Abeer Al-Mandeel for the graduation of the twelfth batch of Qassim University female students qualified with sciences and skills. In his speech, His Excellency referred to the number of this year's graduates, 5333 female graduates at the bachelor's level, including the first batch of the College of Medical Rehabilitation specializing in physical therapy, the first batch of the College of Nursing specializing in nursing and the graduation of 118 postgraduate graduates, seven of whom hold a doctoral degree. The university had previously celebrated the graduation of its students at their own ceremony, bringing the total number of graduates and graduates of Qassim University this year to 8358.
His Excellency also congratulated the parents and daughters of the graduates on the culmination of their educational career, which is the culmination of the fruit of hard work and effort, and the university is proud of them as they are armed with the weapon of religion and science to contribute to building society.
Then, Lulwa Al-Shubrami presented the graduates' speech, in which she said: After sixteen years spent in the edifices and institutions of education, the expected day came to raise the graduation caps, sharing the moments of happiness and saying goodbye to the night and fatigue, committing that this day is the beginning of a step for a bright ambitious future, thanking Princess Abeer Al-Mandeel for sponsoring the ceremony and thanking the faculty members and the mothers of the graduates who suffered with them the years of fatigue and we reaped among them the fruit of success.
After that, the university graduates with master's and bachelor's degrees were honored to receive the Medal of Excellence from Her Highness Princess Abeer Al-Mandeel.
At the end of the ceremony, HRH Princess Abeer Al-Mandeel emphasized that the university, with its tender and capabilities, is equal to other universities, so there is no difference between our university and universities abroad, stressing that we are all proud of our universities, in addition to the performances of our graduating daughters are distinguished and do not differ from others anywhere.
Her Highness expressed her happiness when she saw the joy of the graduates, so much so that she wished to congratulate all of them as if they were her daughters. She pointed out in her speech that the number of female graduates in the summer semester (343) and the first semester (351) to 2025 graduates and the expected female students to graduate to 3308 for a total of 5333 graduates. The university also celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the College of Medical Rehabilitation "Female Department" specializing in physical therapy and the first batch of Aqlah Al-Suqur College specializing in "Arabic Language and Quranic Studies" and the number of graduate studies graduates reached 42 female graduates with a master's degree.
