UQU research team wins gold medal at ITEX 2021

His Excellency Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, received the members of the research group that won the gold medal in partnership with a team of international researchers as the best project in the field of biotechnology at the ITEX 2021 exhibition for invention and innovation held in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, on Wednesday morning, 2/6/1443 AH, at his office in the University City in the presence of His Excellency the University Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, Prof. Khalid Bani Al-Harbi.

 

Dr. Abdullah Saleh Al-Juhani, Dr. Waleed bin Ibrahim Al-Abdulmonem, and Dr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Humaidi congratulated the research team consisting of researchers in several fields, including medicine, medical laboratories and veterinary medicine, on this great achievement, wishing them and all university affiliates success and success in serving religion and the nation.

 

This participation culminated in the university's research group receiving the Japan Society for Biotechnology Ownership Award, an award given to only one project per year in the same field. The academic team from Qassim University's participation was entitled "Modern techniques for the detection of fats and oils using three technologies: A plant-based technique, an environmentally friendly sustainable technique, and a medical engineering technique.
