The University, represented by the General Administration of Maintenance and Services, continues its participation in the eighth phase of the "Qassim Land is Green" campaign, which was launched on Wednesday, 28/3/1443 AH, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Emir of Qassim Region.
During this phase, the General Administration of Maintenance and Services at the university aims to plant approximately 12,000 seedlings of various trees throughout the university city, under the guidance and follow-up of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University. The university is keen to participate in this campaign every year, and will continue to support it to ensure a healthy and clean environment within the university city.
For his part, the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Maintenance and Services in charge, Engineer Majid bin Saleh Al-Harbi, emphasized that the university's participation in this campaign comes with the aim of preserving the environment and combating desertification, pointing out that this national action is our way to combat desertification and restore our vegetation cover, increase the green area in the university city as well as through the expansion of afforestation works and increase the percentage of total green areas by planting, spreading and intensifying afforestation throughout the university sites.
