The University concludes the program to prepare professors and students on the e-learning management system "Blackboard"

The university, represented by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, concluded today, Sunday, its special program to prepare faculty members and students to use the e-learning management system "Blackboard" in the current semester. The program included several specialized training courses provided by qualified trainers to deliver such programs, which were distributed over 7 days during the period from 21-28 Muharram, 1443 A.H. Through this program, the deanship was keen to offer a selection of qualification courses that meet the needs of professors and students and help them carry out their basic tasks related to teaching and learning, in addition to keeping pace with the aspirations of the current stage of the university in terms of expanding the use of e-learning in all its programs and applications in developing the educational process and addressing its challenges.

For his part, Dr. Saad Al-Dosari, Dean of E-Learning and Distance Education at the university, explained that the preparation program included four different training programs, each of which covers one of the main aspects of work in university education in the current semester. The program to prepare faculty members for basic skills in teaching through the e-learning management system (Blackboard) was offered in Arabic and in English for non-Arabic speaking members, indicating that the program contained nine different training courses that deal with various tasks and skills required at this stage, including: Virtual classrooms, teaching with the full e-courses system, assessments, question banks, e-course reports, as well as e-course grade center tools, and other courses that help increase teaching effectiveness.

Dr. Al-Dosari added: A program was presented to prepare students to study through the e-learning management system (Blackboard); it included all the skills that the student needs during his study through this system, including: Logging into the system, accessing courses, participating in the virtual classroom, submitting assignments, participating in discussions, taking electronic tests, communicating with technical support, and other skills that help increase interaction and refine skills during distance learning, noting that the deanship offered students sixteen training courses in two morning and evening periods during this period to meet the needs of all students.

Dr. Al-Dosari said.Dr. Al-Dosari added that the deanship also offered a program to prepare faculty members who are candidates to teach in "Distance Education Diplomas" through the e-learning management system. The program included training on all the skills required for this through a specialized program that lasted three days during the period from 21 to 23 Muharram 1443 A.H., in addition to a program to prepare students in distance education diplomas to study through the "Blackboard" system23 Muharram 1443 A.H., in addition to a program to prepare students in distance education diplomas to study through the "Blackboard" system, which addressed the various skills needed to enable students to learn, study and progress in the educational process at a distance easily and conveniently, through special courses over 4 days during the period from 27-30 Muharram 1443 A.H. Al-Dosari stressed that this program has greatly contributed to enhancing the educational process and reducing obstacles, especially at the beginning of the academic year, and was well received by the participants, including professors and students. He stressed that the deanship is always keen to provide training programs that keep pace with contemporary changes, which aim to develop and update the skills of faculty members and students to use and employ the latest programs, applications and teaching and learning systems used in education, in order to bring e-learning at Qassim University to contemporary international levels to achieve the objectives of the educational process at the university aimed at strengthening the educational process in the university.
