The University, represented by the University Veterinary Hospital, in cooperation with the Camel Club, launched yesterday, Monday, 1/1/1443 A.H., the training course for detecting tampering in camels, which lasts for a whole month at the hospital's headquarters, where a number of trainees from different regions of the Kingdom benefit from this course.
This training course aims to raise the efficiency of veterinarians in knowing the different methods of tampering in camels and methods of detecting them visually and using advanced clinical and laboratory devices, as the course discusses several topics including: The concept of tampering, types of tampering, and objective changes "injection, surgical and mechanical intervention".
Veterinarians are also trained in detecting tampering and knowing the types, methods and methods by which it is done in order to qualify qualified medical cadres to carry out this task to the fullest by using modern technology to detect these practices carried out by some camel owners motivated by material greed that contradicts religion and human morals. After this course, the trainee is expected to be familiar with these different methods of tampering theoretically and scientifically, and he is evaluated at the end of the course in theory and practice.
For his part, the Director of the University Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Abdullah Al-Hawas, explained that this course, which is held in cooperation with the Camel Club and the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at the university, is part of the interest of our wise leadership represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to raise the efficiency of the sectors responsible for advancing this country and fighting corruption of all kinds, praising the efforts made by the university, represented by Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the university, and university vice presidents to raise the efficiency of medical staff and others by holding conferences and courses
Al-Hawas added that thanks are extended to Sheikh Fahad Al-Hathlain, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Camel Club and President of the International Camel Organization, for his interest and effort in this heritage and national wealth in the past and present by supporting scientific research and chairs dedicated to research in the various sectors related to this great creature and holding camel festivals, taking into account justice and integrity and away from tampering, which is evident in holding such a course to combat tampering to achieve justice and integrity in the King Abdulaziz Camel Festivals.
