More than 15,000 students enrolled in the summer semester at the university

On Sunday, 11/10/1442 A.H., more than 15,000 male and female students attended the summer semester (423) for the academic year 1442 A.H. remotely, as the university, represented by the University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, the Deanship of Admission and Registration and the concerned colleges, completed the preparation of everything that would contribute to serving students and meeting their academic needs for the summer semester, with the support and care of Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, UQU President, who stressed the need for commitment to ensure the quality of education and achieve the requirements of the current stage and meet the current circumstances in light of the Coronavirus crisis.

The university, represented by the Vice Presidency of Educational Affairs, has approved a number of regulations related to this year's summer semester, the foremost of which was to limit the study to the three campuses of the university: The main headquarters, the headquarters of the southern branch in Aniza, and the headquarters of the western branch in Al-Ris will be conducted remotely, provided that the semester and final exams will be held in person and on the dates approved in the academic system at the three headquarters with the application of precautionary health measures.

The regulations of the summer semester included the application of the percentage of deprivation decided for the lectures in the Blackboard system (20%), where the evaluation of the course is based on what is approved by the scientific department councils, and it is not allowed to apologize for a course or the entire summer semester unless absolutely necessary and through the Standing Committee for Academic Student Problems.

The University Council has approved the academic calendar for the summer semester, and the concerned university colleges have prepared the study schedules, and then registration was made available to students, as the number of course divisions available to students reached about 800 divisions, and the number of students registered in them reached about 15,000, and the number is still likely to increase, as the requests sent by students are checked through their personal page via the request for deletion and addition icon.
