UQU President launches new e-services at Deanship of Admission and Registration

As part of the university's efforts to develop and modernize the e-services provided to its employees, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, President of the University, inaugurated on Tuesday, 9/4/1442 AH, a number of e-services at the Deanship of Admission and Registration at the main lobby of the University City, in the presence of the University Vice President, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saawi, the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Udeib, the University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Al-Turki, the University Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality, Prof. Khaled Al-Harbi, Dean of the Deanship of Admission and Registration

He praised the efforts of the Deanship of Admission and Registration, which has accomplished many tasks in the past period in assisting male and female students, especially during the periods of suspension of studies, and its constant development of electronic services to serve students. He stressed that the Deanship of Admission and Registration is the gateway to the university, asking Allah Almighty to help the colleagues of the Deanship to do the work entrusted to them and to present it in the appropriate form, and the form that suits the university, because the student starts from it and his interaction with it does not end until he graduates from the university.

Al-Dawood stressed the need for these and other services to reach the male and female students, because it is important for students to recognize them, in addition to the efforts made by colleagues, which we do not want to pass only by reviewing them, but we hope that they reach the students and faculty members, offering thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Deanship of Admission and Registration and the Deanship of Information Technology for their efforts to serve students and the university, indicating that all these achievements come due to the support the university receives from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Governor of Qassim Region, His Highness the Vice President and His Highness the Minister of Education and leaders of the Ministry of Education.

For his part, Eng. Mohammed Al-Saif, Head of the Electronic Services Department, presented a review of the new services that have been launched, whether already launched or those that will be launched with the academic movement, namely: Approving academic movements, approving requests to change the major and change the location in the same major, requesting to retract housing in colleges after completing the preparatory year, applying to the Student Problems Committee, requesting transfer outside the university, requesting a university card, requesting a re-correction, following up and procedures for re-correction requests, in addition to inquiry services, as well as requesting course postponement through the student page, and submitting an apology for attending a lecture for the professor of the course.

Dr. Sulaiman Al-Othaim, Vice Dean of Admission and Registration for Academic Advising, talked about the launch of the new identity of the academic advising at the university, which provides electronic services in updating, improving and following up the website of the Deanship of Admission and Registration, connecting students with academic advisors electronically, achieving good communication in the academic advising process, communicating in academic advising in English, applying to the student issues committee, approving the committee's requests, reviewing the student's academic status, and reviewing the student's academic data.

The new e-services include academic reports, inquiry, appointment booking, appointment booking by the academic advisor, electronic student evaluation, electronic report writing, electronic report writing, electronic report writing by the Academic Advising Committee, in addition to academic advising guides, in addition to holding academic advising courses that clarify the rules and regulations for male and female students, clarify the role of the academic advisor in the advising process, clarify the advising process for students and what is the role of the academic advisor.

Dr. Dalal Al-Otaibi, Vice Dean of Admission and Registration for Female Student Affairs, also reviewed the new e-initiatives, namely the Academic Calendar Initiative, Support Initiative, Education Initiative, Goal Initiative, in addition to the academic default, its obstacles and solutions, and other services and initiatives provided by the deanship to the university affiliates.
