The College of Computer Science at Qassim University held a competition for the best graduation projects and innovative works for the second semester 1434-1435 AH at the main building of the university. The competition program included many events, with the participation of a team from Advanced Electronics Company, a regional leader in the electronics industry, communication systems and the provision of technical solutions.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Shoushan, confirmed that the graduation projects are an indicator of the level of students and a measure of educational outputs and confirms the achievement of the mission and objectives of the college, which is consistent with the directions of the university under the leadership of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Khaled Al-Hamoudi, and the high educational level of the college students to obtain advanced positions at the Kingdom level for several consecutive years.
For his part, the Director of Development of Auxiliary Systems and Director of Development of Major Devices at the sponsoring company, Engineer Abdullah bin Ali Al-Ghameez, explained the role of the company in the field of electronic devices and how to keep pace with technological development and benefit from it. He mentioned that there are a number of graduates of the College of Computing at Qassim University currently working for the company, and explained the ways of cooperation with university students in the future and attract them to work for the company, noting that the company used to hold such kind of competitions at King Saud University in Riyadh for the best graduation project and best student award at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, thanking the Dean and Vice Presidents for directing the company to this event.
In addition, the most prominent student projects were reviewed, and students Maram Al-Nuwaiser, Nusaiba Al-Mufadhi and Arwa Al-Rafiei won the best project from the "Information Technology" department under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al-Hajri, and students Muhammad Al-Muneef and Suleiman Al-Ajlan won the best project from the "Computer Engineering" department under the supervision of Dr. Khalil Abu Zaanouna. "Faisal Abdullah Al-Muqbel won the best project from the Department of Computer Engineering entitled "Automatic Fire Detection" under the supervision of Dr. Khalil Abu Zanouna, and students Osama Al-Arini, Moaz Al-Mohsen, and Ibrahim Suleiman Al-Nuqaidan won the best project from the Department of Computer Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Abu Al-Maati Metwally Ali. Mohsen and Ibrahim Suleiman Al-Nuqaidan won the best project in "Innovative Works" from the Department of Information Technology under the supervision of Dr. Zamir Adhouni, and the students Fahd Abdulkarim Al-Harbi, Ibrahim Abdulrahman Al-Mazeed, Sultan Ali Sinan, and Muhammad Abdulrahman Al-Barikan won the best project in "Innovative Works" from the Department of Information Technology. The best project in "Innovative Business" from the Department of Computer Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Salem Nasri, and the best idea in "Innovative Business" from the Department of Information Technology under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Atri and Ms. Sadaf Abbasi, students Fatima Al-Muhaimid and Naseem Al-Rubaih,The winners were honored, certificates were distributed and shields were presented to them.
For his part, the rapporteur of the projects committee, Dr. Ashraf Nasr, a faculty member at the college, praised the submitted projects and innovative works, stressing that the winners reflect the distinguished scientific level of the college students at the university, wishing them continued excellence and success in their next scientific and practical career
