"Seventh Internship Course" for students of medical faculties in Saudi universities

The University, represented by the College of Medicine, hosted medical students from Saudi universities in the "Seventh Internship Course", which was held for two days at the Medical Clinics Theater in the University City, and concluded its activities yesterday, Saturday, where the course included many lectures and workshops, presented by 20 speakers from professors and consultants from various universities in the Kingdom.

 

The course, which was organized by the Faculty of Medicine at the University for the seventh time and targets medical students at all universities in the Kingdom, aimed to provide an integrated picture for medical graduates to chart their future career and training in the internship year, in addition to helping them choose the appropriate specialties for them by benefiting from the lectures and workshops presented by a group of distinguished doctors in their respective specialties.

 

This edition of the course included workshops on family medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, diagnostic radiology, general surgery, internal medicine, emergency medicine, orthopedics, ophthalmology, dermatology, neurology, gastroenterology and ENT surgery.

 

The course also included a number of specialized scientific lectures, including a lecture on how to choose a specialty, another lecture on writing a resume, a lecture on the resident doctor, a lecture on planning for the internship year, and a lecture on the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties exam and ways to prepare for it.
