The University, represented by the College of Science and Arts in Mudhrab Governorate, will organize the "First Scientific Forum for Mathematics" on Wednesday and Thursday, 4-5/6/1441 A.H., at the college headquarters for male students, and for female students at the female sections in Al-Safraa neighborhood.
The first mathematics forum aims to achieve the mission of the college and the university in scientific research, present the latest research findings in the field of mathematics, activate the spirit of participation among the university's mathematics departments, encourage and push researchers and faculty members in the department to develop the future of mathematics and scientific research in the Kingdom, as well as benefit from the experience of distinguished professors in determining the priorities of scientific research in the department and achieving national projects and research that are in line with the needs of the Kingdom and achieve the Kingdom's vision 2030.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Science and Arts in Al-Madhanib, Prof. Dr. Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Sayegh, explained that the forum will host many distinguished researchers in various fields of mathematics at Qassim University to exchange ideas on current research topics in mathematics and its applications, and provide an opportunity to create an atmosphere of constructive dialogue between experienced researchers and novice researchers, in addition to hosting mathematics teachers in the region to benefit them with the experiences of the participants specialized in mathematics and clarify the role of mathematics in the development of natural and applied sciences.
Al-Sayegh added that the themes of the forum include many specializations, including: The forum targets faculty members at Saudi universities (men and women), postgraduate students (master's and doctoral), and teachers of mathematics in Al-Mathnab Governorate, pointing out that the participating research amounted to 35 specialized research papers, including 14 research papers and 17 scientific posters, as well as 4 lectures with the participation of a number of universities and colleges of the university. "The conference also includes 4 lectures with the participation of a number of universities and colleges of the university, and will witness the holding of four scientific sessions on the first day, including the opening ceremony under the patronage of the UQU President, Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, while the second day will witness two scientific sessions and a training course offered by the Deanship of Scientific Research at the university entitled "Secrets of Scientific Research".
