The university, represented by the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies, concluded yesterday, Tuesday, 29/3/1441 A.H., the annual postgraduate students' forum for scientific posters, which was launched on Monday and lasted for two days, at the main lobby of the university city and for female students at the College of Economics and Administration for Girls. The forum included a meeting for postgraduate students with UQU President Prof. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood, as well as a research poster exhibition with the participation of 160 male and female students.
The forum held two training courses on "Scientific Research Ethics" and "Skills of Using Modern Technology in Scientific Research and Publishing" in the presence of more than 300 male and female students. The first training course, presented by Dr. Sami bin Fahad Al-Sunaidi, a faculty member at the College of Education, addressed several topics on the subject of scientific research ethics, including: In addition to the importance of scientific research ethics and the interest of educational institutions in issuing guides and documents related to this, he also presented the ethical principles and controls in scientific research agreed upon internationally, and then touched in detail on the ethical principles and controls that concern the sample members, as well as those that concern the research steps, as well as the importance of scientific honesty and how the researcher avoids scientific theft through some tips and guidelines.
The second course, presented by Dr. Mahmoud Abdullah Farrow from the Deanship of Library Affairs, discussed the skills of using modern technology in scientific research and publishing, the skills of searching in the global electronic information databases "Saudi Digital Library" SDL and introducing them and the research programs they contain, as well as developing the skills of trainees on the skills of searching in electronic information databases and how to use them and how to make the most of them and extract results from them optimally, in addition to the skills of using electronic documentation programs and websites for information sources in scientific research, and technological skills for publishing
For his part, the Dean of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Muhammad Al-Dughairi, pointed out the importance of this forum in developing the scientific and research skills and capabilities of postgraduate students, in light of the presence of such a large number of participating research posters, thanking His Excellency the UQU President for his keenness to hold this forum, the UQU Vice Presidency for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, all the organizers and workers of the forum from various parties at the university, in addition to the students participating in the scientific posters and all attendees, praying to Allah for success and success for all of them.
