On Thursday, 25/2/1441 A.H., the university witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between the university and the Center for Documentation of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the headquarters of the main lobby in the university city, in the presence of the university vice presidents and a number of its employees.
The terms of the agreement, signed by HRH Princess Adla bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HE Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, President of the University, stipulated cooperation between the two sides in the fields of publishing and research, sponsoring and organizing related events, exchanging relevant data and information, sharing experiences and competencies in the field of the center's activities, cooperating in implementing joint initiatives according to the set targets, as well as joint scientific activities through panel discussions, seminars, scientific workshops, writing, research, and scientific studies.
Speaking on this occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Adla bint Abdullah emphasized that Qassim University is a distinguished, suitable and stimulating environment for research and education: "I was very pleased with the distinguished academic level reached by the university, which is why we are proud in the Center for Documentation of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz - may God have mercy on him - that the first academic cooperation with universities will be with Qassim University, and God willing, there will be mutual benefits to achieve common goals."
For his part, UQU President expressed his happiness that Qassim University is the first university to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the center, stressing that the university is honored to sign this agreement, indicating that it will reflect, God willing, on the university professors and students by introducing the contents of the center and what it includes, as it represents an important part of the Kingdom's history, and God willing, the university will have a clear role in documenting the biography of King Abdullah - may God have mercy on him -.
Al-Dawood explained that this agreement is part of the university's role in serving the community, stressing that the university is happy to cooperate with the community in all its institutions and sectors, saying: "We need to introduce our students to the work of the center, which will reflect on the university professors: "We need to introduce our students to the work done by the center, which will reflect on the university's professors," he added: "On this occasion, we welcome all parties that wish to cooperate with Qassim University, based on its many responsibilities towards serving the community in all fields."
For his part, the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmed Al-Turki, explained that the existence of a scientific and research center specialized in documenting the biography of one of the great men of history and kings, represented by the figure of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God have mercy on him, is of utmost importance in order to preserve his biography and his various works in giving, building and developing in all aspects of life over decades of time, pointing out that the Center for Documentation of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, with its administrative and scientific capabilities, is the best person to perform this task in an academic manner according to scientific and research principles.
Then the Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research, Dr. Mansour Al-Shuraydah, spoke, stressing that the university's mission is based on three pillars, namely: In view of the great support the education sector receives from our wise government, the university has become nationally distinguished by obtaining institutional accreditation as the third university and the second public university in terms of nationally and internationally accredited programs. From this perspective, the university, under the guidance of the UQU President and the follow-up of the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, welcomed the research and scientific partnership with the King Abdullah Biography Documentation Center, which is an information source, research center and scientific and historical studies that contribute to documenting and highlighting the life of King Abdullah, including the following
