The university, represented by the Deanship of Community Service, organized a specialized training course for the blind titled "Hajj Rituals" in Braille, as part of the Deanship of Community Service's "Nights" programs. This was in collaboration with the Visual Impairment Charity Society in Buraydah, and took place last Tuesday, corresponding to 12/5/1440 AH, at the society's headquarters. The course was delivered by Dr. Omar bin Ibrahim Al-Muhaymid, Assistant Professor in the Department of Fiqh at the university, and benefited 37 male and female blind individuals wishing to perform the Hajj rituals.
The course, which benefited 30 men and 7 women, aimed to introduce how to perform the rituals of Hajj, explain its ruling and virtues, mention the types of rituals and their virtues, in addition to mentioning the prohibitions of Ihram and what is required of those who commit them, and explaining the description of Umrah and the description of Hajj. Each trainee was also given a scientific training bag about the rituals of Hajj in Braille, in addition to the participants being granted certificates accredited by the Deanship of Community Service.
