On Tuesday, 12/3/1440 A.H., the College of Education launched the third scientific program for teachers in the Qassim region, entitled "Education, Values of Dialogue and Tolerance", which will last for three days, as part of the university's efforts to fulfill its role in supporting initiatives, the most important of which is the continuous development of teachers and academic leaders.
Dr. Sami Al-Sunaidi, Dean of the College of Education, stressed that this program is based on the vision and mission of the college in serving the national and community dimension, as part of the college's tasks to play its role, the most important of which is the continuous professional development of teachers and academic leaders, as educational institutions are among the most important institutions concerned with instilling, teaching and developing Islamic values to preserve the cohesion and cohesion of society in accordance with Islamic scientific and educational principles.
Al-Sunaidi added that good preparation of the teacher and training him on how to develop values among students is something that must be paid attention to, and for this reason, the college was keen to hold this program for male and female teachers, as one of the activities to achieve partnership between the university and the education departments in the region, which contributes to building a system for the professional development of teachers and providing them with the best educational and educational experiences and practices to improve their performance level according to scientific standards and under academic specialists in various educational fields.
Al-Sunaidi believes that the role of educational institutions is to focus on the sustainable professional development of educational cadres to achieve and perpetuate the development of the values of dialogue and tolerance as a basis for peace and security in society and as a means of producing knowledge and creative interaction through meaningful dialogue, and to be able to continuously self-learn and develop their skills in employing the educational process away from stereotypes and traditional templates to make teaching and learning methods more effective methods to keep pace with the minds of learners and meet the needs of society and the nation.
The themes of the program vary from the educational background of the values of dialogue and tolerance, which is presented by Prof. Dr. Mohsen Al-Mohsen for teachers, and for female teachers by Dr. Noura Al-Matroudi, the second theme is the values of dialogue and tolerance and their impact on the behavioral aspect of the learner by Dr. Saleh Al-Khalaf, and for female teachers by Dr. Sumaya Al-Asqah, and the third theme is the values of dialogue and tolerance and their educational applications presented by Dr. Abdulrahman Abu Al-Hajj and for female teachers by Dr. Ghada Al-Tamimi.
