Birth and Reproductive Diseases (2)

Course Description: The course covers pregnancy physiology, normal parturition, pregnancy complications, uterine torsion, dystocia (maternal and fetal), puerperium, uterine prolapse, semen collection and evaluation, embryo transfer, and in vitro fertilization. It aims to equip students with the skills to diagnose and treat various types of dystocia and apply modern biotechnologies.

Prerequisites: VMD 488
Objectives of the course :

Students will be able to diagnose, treat, and control diseases in pregnant and non-pregnant animals.
Students can handle cases of dystocia in farm animals.
Students will be able to evaluate semen and handle diluted semen.
Students can apply modern reproductive technologies to improve animal fertility.

Course outputs :

1. Applying critical thinking and analytical skills to intervene in childbirth cases.
2. Addressing childbirth problems and dilemmas resulting from the use of artificial insemination.
