Animal Anatomy (2)

Course Description: The course includes detailed anatomy of the respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, male and female reproductive systems, nervous system, lymphatic system, and various sensory organs. It then compares these systems in different domestic animals. The course also addresses the importance of each system through its surgical applications.
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisites: VMD 221
Objectives of the course :

• Providing the student with foundational knowledge in systematic and comparative anatomy, and related medical sciences, concerning the essential organs that constitute the various body systems.

 

This course prepares students for further study in other medical sciences at other levels, and for other specializations such as surgery and clinical medicine.

Course outputs :

Students will be able to list and identify knowledge related to veterinary medicine.
Students will be able to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to critically analyze new information and research findings relevant to veterinary medicine.
