Thematic interpretation

Course Description: This course covers the definition of thematic exegesis, its origins, importance, and key works. It also delves into the fields of thematic exegesis, dictionaries, and verbal and thematic indexes of the Holy Quran. Furthermore, it explores research methodologies, steps for researching Quranic chapters, Quranic themes, and Quranic terminology, along with applied case studies.

Credit hours: 4

Objectives of the course :

The student acquires the skill of applying the methodology of studying the Holy Quran according to the methods of thematic interpretation, taking into account adherence to the concept of this interpretive style, its types, and its divisions.

1- To explain the principles and foundations of thematic interpretation, and the scholars' methodologies in this field.
2. To clarify Quranic issues and the most important contemporary research related to thematic exegesis.
3. To review modern research methodologies used in the field of thematic exegesis and how to prepare a scientific research plan for it.

To apply scientific research methods, advanced skills, and techniques in writing research on thematic interpretation.
