Course Description: This course introduces the concept, nature, and importance of sociology, making it essential for education graduates. It covers social relationships within sports groups, describes the different roles of members in sports groups, and designing a sociometric test questionnaire. It also covers the criteria for constructing the questionnaire and the conditions for social measurement. .

Objectives of the course :

Introducing students to the following:
– The student will become familiar with the nature and importance of sports sociology and will have a grasp of the status of sports in Arab society.
– To mention the importance of sports sociology. .
– To strengthen his appreciation for the value of sports in Arab society
To recognize the most important different aspects of studying sports sociology and the role of socialization in sports practice,
To describe the relationship between culture and sports, and to link the relationship between media and sports. .
– To become familiar with the foundations of social deviance theory and uncover the relationship between sports and social deviance, so that they reject forms of sports fanaticism and embody sportsmanship. .
To recognize social relationships within sports groups and describe the different roles of sports group members. .
